What Mahindra & Mahindra Limited does
A short, human-reviewed summary of the business, written from public sources. Background, not analysis, and not updated intraday.
business summary
Mahindra combines two very different market leaderships in one listed company. It is India's top SUV brand by revenue share, selling models like the Scorpio, XUV700, Thar and Bolero, and by its own long standing claim, the world's largest tractor manufacturer by volume. Farm equipment is reported as a segment of Mahindra itself, not as a separate subsidiary.

2What it sells
Manufactures SUVs and pickups under its own brand (Scorpio, XUV700, Thar, Bolero, XUV 3XO) and a growing electric SUV range (BE 6, XEV 9S), plus tractors and farm implements through its Farm Equipment Sector, along with light commercial vehicles and electric three wheelers.
3
3Who buys it
Buyers range from individual SUV and pickup owners across urban and rural India to farmers and agri businesses buying tractors, plus fleet operators and last mile delivery businesses for its commercial vehicles and electric three wheelers.
4
4How it earns
Revenue comes mainly from two segments reported within Mahindra & Mahindra itself, automotive (SUVs, EVs, commercial vehicles) and farm equipment (tractors), which together posted FY26 revenue of about Rs 1.60 lakh crore. Group consolidated revenue was higher still, about Rs 1.99 lakh crore, once a separate services segment (financial services, IT, real estate and hospitality) worth roughly Rs 44,000 crore is added in. Its four wheeler EV business now sits in a separately funded subsidiary, Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited, which has raised capital from investors including Temasek and British International Investment.
Implied vs realized volatility
This compares the volatility options are pricing (from the chain) with the volatility the stock has actually delivered. It appears once the live options chain is available.
options live in market hours
The options-implied volatility comes from the live chain, which is available during and around market hours (9:15-3:30 IST, Mon-Fri). The stock has realized 17.2% volatility over the last 30 days; the implied figure and the comparison will show when the chain is live.

The daily candles are the actual stock. The two labeled lines are the single strike with the most call open interest (a resistance level option sellers are defending) and the single strike with the most put open interest (a support level). The cash it actually made
Profit is an accounting figure; cash flow is what moved. Free cash flow is the cash from running the business less what was spent on plant and equipment, so it is what was left over to pay down debt or return to shareholders.

Against its sector
Where this stock sits within its own sector on each measure. The marker is its position in the peer group and the notch is the sector median. A position is a fact about the cohort, not a view on the stock.
Median rather than average, so one loss-making or one very expensive peer cannot drag the reference. Valuation is shown without a colour verdict: a higher multiple can mean expensive, or faster growth expected, and only you can decide which.

2026 has paid Rs 33.00 per share, about Rs 1,062 on Rs 1 lakh at today's price. Earlier years are restated to today's share count, so a bonus or split never reads as a dividend cut. Dividends are at the company's discretion and can be cut or skipped.
