What Suzlon Energy Limited does
A short, human-reviewed summary of the business, written from public sources. Background, not analysis, and not updated intraday.
business summary
Suzlon is India's largest wind turbine manufacturer, with roughly a third of the domestic market. Once nearly bankrupt under roughly 14,000 crore rupees of debt around 2015, it deleveraged sharply and reported a net cash, near debt-free position for FY26. The family of founder Tulsi Tanti, who died in 2022, has been diluted to about 12 percent ownership but his brother Girish Tanti remains on the board as vice chairman.

1Sector
Power & Renewables
2
2What it sells
Designs, manufactures and installs wind turbine generators, and increasingly hybrid wind-solar and battery storage systems, with turbines installed across around 17 countries and roughly 21 GW of cumulative wind capacity worldwide.
3
3Who buys it
Sells mainly to independent power producers, corporates buying captive renewable power, and utilities in India and select overseas markets, and earns recurring fees from operating and maintaining turbines after they are installed.
4
4How it earns
Revenue comes from turbine sales and EPC contracts on new wind projects plus long term operations and maintenance contracts on its large installed base, a steadier annuity-like income stream that helped fund its debt reduction.
Implied vs realized volatility
This compares the volatility options are pricing (from the chain) with the volatility the stock has actually delivered. It appears once the live options chain is available.
options live in market hours
The options-implied volatility comes from the live chain, which is available during and around market hours (9:15-3:30 IST, Mon-Fri). The stock has realized 21.5% volatility over the last 30 days; the implied figure and the comparison will show when the chain is live.
SUZLON price vs the biggest options level
The daily candles are the actual stock. The two labeled lines are the single strike with the most call open interest (a resistance level option sellers are defending) and the single strike with the most put open interest (a support level). The full breakdown across every strike is in the Open Interest Profile card below.

The cash it actually made
Profit is an accounting figure; cash flow is what moved. Free cash flow is the cash from running the business less what was spent on plant and equipment, so it is what was left over to pay down debt or return to shareholders.

Against its sector
Where this stock sits within its own sector on each measure. The marker is its position in the peer group and the notch is the sector median. A position is a fact about the cohort, not a view on the stock.
Median rather than average, so one loss-making or one very expensive peer cannot drag the reference. Valuation is shown without a colour verdict: a higher multiple can mean expensive, or faster growth expected, and only you can decide which.
