TATASTEEL
Tata Sons and affiliated Tata group entities hold just under a third of the company as promoters. Its UK subsidiary shut down blast furnace steelmaking at Port Talbot in 2024, ending over a century of production there, and is building a replacement electric arc furnace now running roughly a year behind its original 2027 target due to a grid connection delay. The group also runs the IJmuiden steelworks in the Netherlands.
Metals & Mining
Produces flat and long steel products including hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil, galvanised sheet, wire rods, TMT rebar and tubes, from integrated plants in Jharkhand and Odisha, plus operations in the UK and the Netherlands.
Sells to automotive, construction, infrastructure, packaging and general engineering customers mainly in India, plus automotive and construction buyers in the UK and continental Europe through its overseas operations.
Converts iron ore and coking coal, largely from its own captive mines, into finished steel at integrated plants, earning margins on the spread between raw material costs and steel prices across domestic sales, exports and retail brands like Tata Tiscon.

Companies file a balance sheet twice a year, not every quarter, so this is the most recent one published rather than the latest quarter.
Cash flow is reported for the year to date, so this covers the full period ending 2026-03-31 rather than a single quarter.
Median rather than average, so one loss-making or one very expensive peer cannot drag the reference. Valuation is shown without a colour verdict: a higher multiple can mean expensive, or faster growth expected, and only you can decide which.
Operating margin has gone from 26.0% to 14.8% over these years - the share of every rupee of sales kept after running costs, before interest and tax. Full financial years only, so a part-year is never shown as a whole one. Hover any year for its complete figures.
2026 has paid Rs 4.00 per share, about Rs 2,186 on Rs 1 lakh at today's price. Earlier years are restated to today's share count, so a bonus or split never reads as a dividend cut. Dividends are at the company's discretion and can be cut or skipped.
The share of traded quantity that was actually delivered (not squared off intraday) - high delivery vs its 20-session average suggests real buying or holding, not just churn.
