What the numbers say
Short lines written by fixed rules from the company's own filings and shareholding. A line appears only when the figures cross the rule (for example sales growing three years running), and each names the numbers behind it. Nothing here is a view on whether to own the share.

Latest quarterIn the quarter to June 2026 (results filed 13 Aug 2026), sales rose 20.8% from a year earlier to Rs 2,788 cr and profit rose 82.2% to Rs 424 cr.

Going well
  • Sales grew 4 years running (Rs 5,830 cr in FY22 to Rs 9,646 cr in FY26).
  • Profit grew 3 years running (Rs 479 cr in FY23 to Rs 1,184 cr in FY26).
  • Operating margin rose from 14.8% in FY23 to 20.5% in FY26.
  • Debt to equity fell 3 years running (0.25 to 0.07).

Each line is written by a fixed rule from the company's own filings and share price, and names the figures it uses. It describes what happened; it is not advice about the share.

How the share moved on results
For each quarterly result we hold: the change from the share's close on the last trading day before the filing to its close on the first trading day after it. Results can land during market hours or after the close, and this window covers both. It shows what happened, not what will happen next time.

Over the last 20 results, the share rose on 6 and fell on 14, and moved by 3% or more on 7.

What Ipca Laboratories does
A short, human-reviewed summary of the business, written from public sources. Background, not analysis, and not updated intraday.
business summary

Ipca is one of the few Indian pharma companies with a major position in anti-malarial drugs, selling both finished medicines and bulk active ingredients to global public-health buyers such as the WHO, not just retail patients. It is also a large API exporter, so a meaningful share of revenue comes from selling raw drug ingredients to other manufacturers. Some of its plants have carried US FDA import alerts in the past.

1
1Sector

Pharmaceuticals - APIs & Formulations

2
2What it sells

Anti-malarial, cardiovascular, anti-diabetic, pain-management and anti-infective medicines, sold both as finished formulations and as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) supplied to other drugmakers.

3
3Who buys it

Retail patients in India for branded formulations, international public-health buyers such as the WHO for anti-malarials, and other pharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide who buy its bulk active ingredients as raw material.

4
4How it earns

Earns higher margins on branded formulations sold in India and thinner, volume-driven margins on bulk API exports. Profitability is sensitive to raw material costs, global anti-malarial demand and tender cycles, and whether its manufacturing plants stay in good standing with regulators such as the US FDA, since an import alert can block a plant's US-bound exports.

Where the cash went
Profit is an accounting figure; cash flow is what actually moved. Cash from running the business, plus or minus what was spent on or received from investments, plus or minus what came from or went to lenders and shareholders, equals the change in cash.

In FY26 the business itself brought in Rs 1,142 Cr, spent Rs 652 Cr on plant and equipment, and cash rose by Rs 142 Cr over the year.
