Peers are the listed companies in the exchange's own industry group: Pharmaceuticals. Balance-sheet figures are from the latest filed balance sheet; trends show each financial year we hold.
Latest quarterIn the quarter to June 2026 (results filed 10 Aug 2026), sales rose 25.9% from a year earlier to Rs 929 cr and profit turned positive at Rs 107 cr after a loss of Rs 108 cr a year earlier.
- Sales grew 3 years running (Rs 2,651 cr in FY23 to Rs 3,373 cr in FY26).
- Operating margin rose from 2.8% in FY23 to 19.3% in FY26.
- Reported a loss in FY24 and FY25.
- Return on equity stayed under 10% from FY24 to FY26 (highest 3.8%).
Each line is written by a fixed rule from the company's own filings and share price, and names the figures it uses. It describes what happened; it is not advice about the share.
Over the last 20 results, the share rose on 6 and fell on 14, and moved by 3% or more on 9.
Q1 FY27: results filed 10 Aug 2026. The share went from its close on 7 Aug 2026 to its close on 11 Aug 2026 -5.52%.
Spent much of the 2010s and early 2020s in financial distress from heavy debt and US FDA manufacturing compliance issues, before re-rating sharply on progress in its long-running program to discover a wholly new antibiotic. On 29 May 2026 its candidate Zaynich (cefepime and zidebactam) received US FDA approval for complicated urinary tract infections, the first new chemical entity fully discovered, developed and commercialised by an Indian pharma company to do so.
Pharma - Anti-Infectives & Novel Drug Research
Generic and branded prescription formulations, biosimilars and insulin products (including Glaritus and Wosulin), active pharmaceutical ingredients, and Zaynich, its newly FDA-approved novel intravenous antibiotic for drug-resistant infections.
Hospitals, pharmacies and healthcare distributors across India, the US and Europe, plus emerging markets in Latin America, Africa, the CIS and Asia; branded generics also reach retail patients directly.
Earns most revenue from selling generic and branded formulations at volume, like most Indian pharma companies. Is now also positioned to earn patent-protected, higher-margin revenue and licensing income from Zaynich, a self-discovered antibiotic aimed at multidrug-resistant bacterial infections.
Of every Rs 100 of sales in FY26, Rs 81 went on running costs, Rs 6.7 on depreciation, Rs 6.3 on interest and Rs 1.2 on tax; Rs 5.9 was left as profit.
Thin bar: money in (sales plus other income). Thick bar: where it went. Each year is scaled to its own sales, so the bars compare shares, not size.
Per year, compounded, between financial years FY26 and the year named; only spans our filings cover. The faint bar is the latest quarter against the same quarter a year earlier. Earnings per share is not shown: filed figures are not adjusted for bonus issues and splits, so its growth would mislead.

Each row is coloured against this company's own usual level, not against other companies: green is better than its middle year, red worse, plain is close to it. ROE, ROCE and debt rows start once the filings carry a full balance sheet (FY22 at the earliest).
At FY26 it owned Rs 8,615 Cr of assets. Its owners funded 61% of that and borrowings 25%.
From the March balance sheet in the company's annual filing (2026-03-31). Each bar is the full balance sheet; "everything else" is what the filed total leaves after the named lines.
In FY26 the business itself brought in Rs 390 Cr, spent Rs 136 Cr on plant and equipment, and cash rose by Rs 105 Cr over the year.
Full financial year to 2026-03-31, from the company's cash flow statement.
Median rather than average, so one loss-making or one very expensive peer cannot drag the reference. Valuation is shown without a colour verdict: a higher multiple can mean expensive, or faster growth expected, and only you can decide which.
