Peers are the listed companies in the exchange's own industry group: Private Sector Bank. Balance-sheet figures are from the latest filed balance sheet; trends show each financial year we hold.
Latest quarterIn the quarter to June 2026 (results filed 28 Jul 2026), income rose 23.6% from a year earlier to Rs 1,985 cr and profit rose 25.1% to Rs 383 cr.
Nothing in the filings we hold crosses one of our rules yet. Each rule needs a few complete years of results, so recently listed companies often show nothing here.
Each line is written by a fixed rule from the company's own filings and share price, and names the figures it uses. It describes what happened; it is not advice about the share.
Over the last 6 results, the share rose on 6 and fell on 0, and moved by 3% or more on 5.
Q1 FY27: results filed 28 Jul 2026. The share went from its close on 27 Jul 2026 to its close on 29 Jul 2026 +3.35%.
One of India's oldest private sector banks, tracing back to 1904 in the Tamil Nadu temple town of Kumbakonam; its present name is itself a legacy of two small bank mergers absorbed in 1957 and 1965. Since then it has grown mostly organically rather than through acquisitions, staying concentrated in South India and lending heavily to small traders, MSMEs and the textile trade. It has no promoter group and is professionally managed.
Private Banks
Savings and current accounts, MSME and trade finance loans, gold loans, agricultural loans, vehicle and housing loans, and NRI banking services.
Mostly small and mid-sized businesses, traders and farmers concentrated in Tamil Nadu and neighbouring South Indian states, alongside retail depositors.
Earns the spread between deposits and loans, with a large share of lending going to higher-yield MSME and trade-finance segments. Profit depends on keeping bad loans low in a book concentrated in small-business and regional risk.
At FY26 it held Rs 97,024 Cr of assets. 11% was the owners' own money; customer deposits funded 81%.
From the March balance sheet in the company's annual filing (2026-03-31). Each bar is the full balance sheet; "everything else" is what the filed total leaves after the named lines.
In FY26 the business moved Rs -11,435 Cr through operations; for a lender that is mostly loans made and deposits taken, not trading cash.
Full financial year to 2026-03-31, from the company's cash flow statement. This company lends for a living: money lent out is an operating outflow, so these are not coloured as good or bad.
Median rather than average, so one loss-making or one very expensive peer cannot drag the reference. Valuation is shown without a colour verdict: a higher multiple can mean expensive, or faster growth expected, and only you can decide which.

2026 has paid Rs 2.00 per share, about Rs 962 on Rs 1 lakh at today's price. It skipped 2 of the last 8 years. Earlier years are restated to today's share count, so a bonus or split never reads as a dividend cut. Dividends are at the company's discretion and can be cut or skipped.
The share of traded quantity that was actually delivered (not squared off intraday) - high delivery vs its 20-session average suggests real buying or holding, not just churn.
